How can the wider area share in the benefits of the development?

CALA believes that Leek Wootton provides an opportunity for a sustainable development that can become an important part of the wider community.

The proposed development is for circa 85 new homes, with a range of house types and sizes to meet market needs, as well as providing affordable housing in accordance with Council Policy.

A number of community benefits will be delivered as part of CALA’s application, which include:

  • Attractive areas of public open space
  • Improvements to the local highways infrastructure
  • Funding to Warwickshire Police through the land sale, which maintains their future at Woodcote House and protects the building’s heritage
  • A significant financial contribution towards local community services and education
  • Biodiversity enhancements, alongside the protection of existing significant landscape features and improvements to existing woodland areas.
  • Provision of electric vehicle charging points
  • A high-quality development of family housing in a sustainable location

We are keen to hear your views on the development and how it be shaped to ensure that the existing communities share in the benefits that development can bring.
